PROJECT NOTES / Schedule Planner
Less deadline hunting.
More actual work.
I built Schedule Planner to bring the public schedules for CS 61B, CS 61C and CS 162 into a single place, with a calendar, deadline list and semester workload view.

Inside the project
HTML schedule tables provide deadlines; calendar feeds provide recurring class meetings. The app interprets dates in Pacific time and makes public deadlines available as a calendar subscription.
Engineering decisions
Keep the last good data
A failed scrape should not erase a course. Retain the last successful data, expose freshness, and check minimum item counts to catch silent parser regressions.
Separate public and personal
Public endpoints expose course facts. Completion marks, personal notes and custom events belong to a separate authenticated layer.
Treat time as part of correctness
Handle recurring meetings and deadline dates in America/Los_Angeles, including daylight-saving boundaries, rather than relying on the visitor’s local timezone.
This is an unofficial course helper. Course websites and official learning platforms remain the source of truth for deadlines.
