PROJECT NOTES / PaperWeb
A website begins
with an idea.
PaperWeb is a visual website authoring project. The goal: make a page editable as a document, then turn that document into a website that can live on its own.

Inside the project
Text, shapes, images and page components share a structured document model. The editor supports visual changes; the compiler produces standalone HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Web and native clients share core packages.
Engineering decisions
One document, multiple surfaces
Keep the document model, editing operations and compiler shared across the web studio and native clients, so a project stays understandable across platforms.
An editable result
Keep content as editable elements, with undo and recovery, rather than flattening the whole page into an image. Handwriting recognition includes a correction step.
Own the output
Export ordinary web files or deploy to a Linux server. Versioned releases and rollback support iteration after a site goes live.
Current scope: the web studio is deployed. AI generation requires a configured provider connection; native-device coverage and model quality are still being evaluated.
